Details: Valentin N. PARMON, Full Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS), Doctor of Chemistry, Director of Boreskov Institute of Catalysis SB RAS (Novosibirsk). He is Сhairman of the United Scientific Council for Chemical Sciences in the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (SB RAS), Сhairman of the Scientific Council for Catalysis RAS, Russia’s representative in the European Federation of Catalytic Societies (EFCATS) and in the International Association of Catalytic Societies (IACS). Professor at Novosibirsk State University. The area of his research interests includes developing and investigating catalysts and catalytic processes, including those used for transformation and accumulation of various types of energy; catalysis and photocatalysis; the role of abiogenous catalytic processes in the origin and formation of the biosphere. He was awarded with the Order of Honor (1999), the Order of Merit for the Nation of the IVth class (2007), Francysk Skorina medal of Republic of Belarus (2009), the EFCATS prize for innovations in catalysis (2005). He is the organizer and editor-in-chief of the journals Khimiya v Rossii (Chemistry in Russia) and Kataliz v Promyshlennosti (Catalysis in Industry), as well as the Russian regional editor of the international journal Reaction Kinetics and Catalysis Letters. Parmon is the author and coauthor of more than 400 scientific publications, 5 monographs and 5 university textbooks, as well as of more than 80 author certificates and patents
